In January 2024, Thomas Miller were pleased to announce that St Mungo’s would be their new corporate charity partner for the next two years, as voted by employees. The charity works directly with people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, providing them with services to find paths away from homelessness, for good.
This December, Thomas Miller were delighted to present a £50,000 corporate donation to St Mungo’s as they reached the end of the first year of the partnership, meaning a total donation figure of £77,000, including employee fundraising.
For St Mungo’s, the level of people experiencing homelessness continues to rise (up 27% in 2024 alone), and therefore their important three-pronged model of Outreach, Accommodation and Recovery needs more support than ever. Throughout the year, the support of Thomas Miller and other corporate charity partners has ensured that St Mungo’s can continue to facilitate their services and efforts. Examples include*:
- Providing support to 28,359 people who were homeless, or at risk of homelessness.
- 7,274 people were supported by dedicated Outreach teams.
- An average of 2,735 people were provided with housing and support on any given night.
- 161 different services were ran, from dedicated 13 Outreach teams to supported accommodation services and recovery services.
- 96% of clients were supported to be registered with a GP.

The Partnership
Employee engagement has been an integral element to the partnership, with the global workforce showing support and enthusiasm to support St Mungo’s clients through fundraising and volunteering. Over £27,000 has been raised directly through employee fundraising across a variety of different challenge and social charity events, ranging from half-marathons, walking and exercise challenges to abseiling from a crane and the annual Thomas Miller quiz.
Throughout 2024, employees have also dedicated 182 hours to volunteering, participating in activities such as gardening at different St Mungo’s residential services, hosting pamper and activity afternoons and also engaging in a leadership client mentoring programme. Across the month of October, Thomas Miller supported St Mungo’s World Homelessness Day campaign, which also included hosting a clothing bank to support clients. Over the winter months, Thomas Miller have also connected with the charity by decorating residential services for Christmas, and also through a dedicated Christmas Giving Tree, with employees providing 50 clients with presents to open on Christmas day.
